Meal Plan is made by Cloudgate Studios. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Meal Plan on iPhone, iPad or Mac.
The short version
We don't collect any of your data. Meal Plan has no accounts, no servers of ours, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
Where your data is stored
Your recipes, photos, meal plans, grocery lists and settings are stored on your devices and in your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. Apple stores this data under its own privacy policy. Cloudgate Studios can't see or access it.
If you turn off iCloud for Meal Plan, your data stays on that device only.
Sharing with your household
If you invite people to your household, the people you invite can see and change your recipes, plans and grocery list. Their names, as shown by iCloud, are visible to everyone in the household. You can stop sharing, or leave a household, at any time in Settings → Household.
Importing recipes
When you import a recipe from a web address, Meal Plan connects directly from your device to that website to read the recipe. The website receives the request like any visit from a browser and is covered by its own privacy policy. We don't receive or store the addresses you import.
When you import pasted text on a device with Apple Intelligence, the text is processed on your device. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else.
Children
Meal Plan doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
